Black Student Union Education Initiative - Harrisburg

It’s crazy to think, just a few years ago, you were visiting colleges, preparing for the admissions process and making the big decision of where to attend college. The college preparatory process can be challenging and at times very overwhelming.

Recently, Multicultural Programs' Black Student Union partnered with Admissions to seek out local Harrisburg area high school students and offer to assist sophomores and juniors with their college preparatory process. This outreach effort titled, the Black Student Union Education Initiative, brings opportunity for Harrisburg area high school students to visit Messiah College, learn about what it looks like to pursue college and remind them that Messiah College is a place we would like for them to consider attending. Not only does this program impact local high school students, but it works to enhance Messiah’s involvement in expanding diversity on campus.

Your donation to the BSU Education Initiative - Harrisburg will assist with:

• teaching each high school student more about the college preparatory skills and what it looks like to become a Falcon

• providing a hospitable experience to each student while on campus

• transporting local high school students to and from campus
