Track and Field New York

The Messiah track and field team will travel to Middletown, New York to partner with 12 Rock over spring break. 12th Rock is a missions organization whose vision is “To change the atmosphere of youth sports by providing positive life-lifting experiences that honor Jesus Christ”. They provide these youth sports programs in activities such as basketball, archery, track and field, and other general programs. The president of the organization is a Messiah parent and has a heart surrendered to God’s grace and provision. The team is excited to take part in a service opportunity where they can use their expertise as college track and field athletes. During the team's trip, they will serve by building throwing cages, doing concrete work, leveling new lawn areas, doing cabin renovations & general cleanup for the 2024 camp season, and also have the chance to put on track and field clinics for local children during the evenings.
