A Warmer Welcome: Honoring Messiah's Legacy of Commitment and Success

As a University with 35 NCAA Division III championships, the caliber of our current outdoor athletic facilities does not reflect the caliber of the remarkable accomplishments and success of Messiah Athletics and falls short of Messiah’s commitment to outstanding campus hospitality. Addressing this challenge and enhancing our athletic facilities and hospitality will greatly complement our ongoing efforts to promote institutional pride and spirit within our entire Falcon community—and to recruit student-athletes to Messiah University during campus tours, summer camps and individual athlete visits. The University seeks to build a new hospitality and athletic team support facility located between Shoemaker and Anderson Fields, new lacrosse seating, as well as making baseball and softball dugout improvements and other significant enhancements. Our student-athletes and visiting teams will have access to locker and athletic training rooms; with alumni, parents and visitors enjoying new concession, restroom and community spaces. The Steering Committee for this athletics enhancement project is pleased to share that dollar-for-dollar matching funds are currently available to help close the gap to fund this 7.3 million-dollar project. Please consider a donation to help us provide A Warmer Welcome to all who utilize and visit the 70 acres across the bridge.

MATCHING GIFT ANNOUNCEMENT

The campaign has received a $1.5 million matching grant from an alumni family that is passionate about Messiah’s athletics program and the development and success of our students. Effective immediately this gift:

Will match all new contributions or pledges of $15,000 or greater to the “Warmer Welcome” campaign. Pledges may be paid over a 3-5 year period.
Encourages individual and family contributions
- Honoring our current student and alumni athletes –and the parents and grandparents who supported them.
- Individual and Family Legacy gifts (pooled gifts by extended family members) will be recognized on the athletics website and at a site to be determined at the Starry Complex
