Nevin H. Dourte '78 Memorial Scholarship Endowment

Nevin was a 1978 graduate of Messiah College with a double major in biology and chemistry with aspirations to become a veterinarian. His vocation was something entirely different, however: selling agricultural insurance and eventually becoming sole owner of Ruhl Insurance in Manheim, PA, a fourth-generation family-owned business. After Nevin died in 2023, his wife, Doneen, and children, Megan, and Reuben -- along with friends and family -- established this memorial scholarship at Messiah University to honor his legacy.
